Luminary, an AI-native wealth transfer and administration platform, has raised $22 million in Series A funding led by Ten Coves Capital, bringing total funding to nearly $32 million. The round included BNY and 8VC, along with prior investors Fin Capital, Focus Financial Partners, Rockefeller Capital Management’s FinTech Innovation Fund and several family offices.
Founded in 2022, Luminary turns static estate documents into structured, source-verified data that powers advisory workflows for financial advisors, trust companies, law firms and accounting firms. The platform helps these firms scale ongoing guidance on tax-efficient wealth transfer strategy, trust and entity structuring, and administration.
Luminary already supports client assets totaling more than $500 billion; its customers include Caprock, IEQ Capital and Wealth Enhancement Group, along with tax advisory, legal and trust firms.
The new capital will go toward:
- Building out AI capabilities and integrations
- Expanding into administration workflows
- Growing its sales and business development teams
